Series: Break Through                               Message Title: Bringing Down Walls

Four Steps to a warrior used to bring down walls:

  1. Quit looking at the size of your problem and focus on the source of your promise

“Now the gates of Jericho were securely barred because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in. Then the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men.”  (Joshua 6:1-2, NIV)

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,” (Ephesians 3:20 NKJV)

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31 NKJV)

  1. Believe God will use your current situation and limitations to bring down walls

You shall march around the city, all you men of war; you shall go all around the city once. This you shall do six days. (Joshua 6:3 NKJV)

“So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts. (Zechariah 4:6 NKJV)

  1. Remain obedience in God’s presence even when it does not make sense.

12 And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the Lord. 13 Then seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the Lord went on continually and blew with the trumpets. And the armed men went before them. But the rear guard came after the ark of the Lord, while the priests continued blowing the trumpets. 14 And the second day they marched around the city once and returned to the camp. So they did six days. (Joshua 6:12-14 NKJV)

“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.” (Psalms 46:1 NKJV

  1. Praise God before the victory

“So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.” (Joshua 6:20 NKJV)

“By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days.”(Hebrews 11:30 NKJV)

“But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.” (Psalms 5:11-12 NKJV)

God wants to bring you into your blessings after you endured your Seventh day. God wants to bring down walls that have fortified your blessing. But you have to do your part.

Are you doing your part thru the seventh day to bring down the walls this morning?

Are tired of waiting on God and deciding to go your own way?

If there is an area in your life that you want God to bring down walls this morning?

Please surrender that area to God this morning and shout out him in faith believing that he will bring down those walls.
