This Sunday is National Back to Church Sunday. Join us in-person or online. We are drawing from Ecclesiastes 4:12, “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” NATIONAL BACK TO CHURCH SUNDAY 2020 reminds us that together; individuals, families and friends, no matter your economic situation, the geography of your home or the color of your skin, we make God’s church stronger. Together, we can thrive in uncertainty, stay hopeful in a world of doubt, confident as fear grips our community and flourish as one.

The Church is the pillar of truth and place of hope. As you know, there is distress everywhere - deadly pandemic, social strife, political division, wildfires, natural disasters. Injustice, and oppression. The world is in trouble and experiencing awfully hard times. Our human inclination is to look in the wrong places for reprieve, only to be disappointed sooner or later.

None of the trouble we face today comes as a surprise to God. It is all predicted in God's Word – the bible.  The good news is that we have an enduring solution in Jesus – Son of God. In Matthew 11, Jesus invites everyone who labors and bears heavy burden to COME unload and find rest in Him. Be encouraged to Come to Jesus with your cares, and burdens, and be truly connected to Him. He will give you rest.

We pray this message meets you well, and we look forward to your joining us this Sunday.

Blessings,

Pastors Taiwo and Grace Ogbomo
